Podcasts Now on Apple TV with the tvOS9.1.1 Update

Apple TV now has Podcasts

Today Apple came out with a minor software update, tvOS9.1.1, for the Apple TV mainly bringing us Podcasts. If you are familiar with the Podcasts app on your iPhone then you will be very familiar with the layout of Podcasts on Apple TV. Sync up your podcasts across all your devices because now you can watch, listen, browse, and subscribe to the latest audio and video Podcasts right from your Apple TV.  Although this is not the big 9.2 update we are seeing in beta right now which will bring us folders among other new Apple TV features, we are happy to finally see this latest Apple TV app.

For cord-cutters this is also a nice addition to the Apple TV. Always looking for good content we can now watch or listen to some amazing material without having to AirPlay from another device.  If you are new to podcasts you will enjoy a lengthy list of categories to choose from such as Arts, Comedies, Hobbies, Health, News, Sports, and more.

Apple’s 1080p Keynote Podcast
